Svyaznoy, AliExpress Russia launch collecting points

MOSCOW, Feb 2 (PRIME) -- Russian electronics retailer Svyaznoy and retailer AliExpress Russia have launched the first 10 co-branded collecting points in Moscow and Kazan, the companies said in their joint statements on Tuesday.

"We plan to extend the project to other large cities in the future. The key areas of our work is extension of AliExpress’ logistic availability for the users and cost cuts for the sellers," AliExpress Russia Logistics and Infrastructure Director Grigory Orlov said.

The collection points are meant for the delivery of items from the Svyaznoy and AliExpress online stores. Phones and other electronic devices, including tablets, will be sold at the points. Some services, such as loans and insurance issuance and public utilities payments will be available.
